Notice of Financial Policy & Debt Fairness Act

In June of 2024, Governor Walz signed the Minnesota Debt Fairness Act into legislation with an effective date of October 1, 2024. The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic has outlined its practices for collecting medical debt in our Notice of Financial Policy and will not deny medically necessary care to our patients due to unpaid medical debt and will not engage in prohibited debt collection practices. OFC’s Notice of Privacy Practices was updated to reflect changes regarding your privacy rights and how OFC may use your protected health information for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations.
