Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon Dr. John Springer specializes in the treatment of bone, joint, and muscle problems, including fractures, back conditions, and hip and knee injuries. Dr. Springer joined The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic in 1991, and he proudly serves patients in Mankato, Minnesota, as well as the surrounding areas.
Dr. Springer is a native of Minnesota and graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul with his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry. He became a Fulbright scholar and earned his master’s degree in chemistry from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. Dr. Springer went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, where he completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency through the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Springer takes a patient-focused approach to care. He always takes the time to discuss the diagnosis and treatments with each patient and recommend a treatment course based on his expertise. Ultimately, Dr. Springer encourages his patients to decide on their plan of action after helping them understand all options and potential outcomes.
